Director, University Relations at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Occupation: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Originally from NJ, I attended SUNY Cortland for my undergraduate degree. During my junior year, I was drafted by the Detroit Tigers to play professional baseball and left academics for that pursuit. After playing for 3 different teams over 4 years, my career ended and I returned to Cortland to finish my degree in Business Economics. Following graduation, I followed my now wife to the Albany metro area. With little to no industry experience I struggled to find employment, ultimately securing a labor role at the local arena as my first job in the region. During that time I met an individual who was working at Progressive Insurance, who referred me to a Claims Adjuster role. Though the position was not a great match, I was able to grow within a great company and establish a network. 3 years in a College Recruiting job came open, and I jumped at the opportunity to engage with students and provide career path opportunities. I made the shift to Regeneron about 9 years ago and have nearly 20 years of recruiting experience. Recruiting Talent: Yes -

In 1997, we wrote a series of articles about our experiences as early adopters of digital imaging technologies, which we parlayed into a side business delivering professional development seminars on innovative business practices for creative professionals across the United States. My involvement in professional development training led to an adjunct faculty position at Syracuse University, where I have co-taught a course on Professional Practices for Visual Communicators since 2016. Calculated risk-taking, reinvention and adaptation have always been hallmarks of my career and in 2017, after years immersed in the historic restoration of my own home, I sat for my contractor's license and launched Hill Street Painting & Restoration, a boutique home improvement company offering high quality craftsmanship and top-notch customer service. KJ DellAntonia

Writer/Substacker/Podcaster at self www,kjdellantonia.com Class Year: na Class Year of Child: 2029 Occupation: Arts, Audio/Video Technology and Communications KJ Dell’Antonia is a novelist and former journalist and editor at the New York Times, where she covered the personal and policy aspects of family for many years. She grew up in Texas and Kansas and attended Kansas State University, then spent her twenties locked in a struggle to marry her upbringing with the mysterious ways of Manhattan and East Coast culture and reconcile career choices that included practicing law at Cravath, Swaine and Moore and the New York County District Attorney's office with her childhood desire to be Anne of Green Gables, only with more publishing success. During the first internet boom, she became the worst Vice President of Business Development ever at an otherwise successful start-up.
Her subsequent layoff proved the perfect excuse to finally pursue journalism, and a move to a small town in New Hampshire didn’t stop her from eventually taking over the New York Times’ Motherlode blog. Her first book, How to Be a Happier Parent, developed as a result of her work there, but her heart was always in fiction. Her memories of the two chicken restaurants in the Kansas towns where her parents grew up sparked the creation of Chicken Mimi’s and Chicken Frannie’s, the two restaurants at the center of The Chicken Sisters, and the story grew from there. Her second novel, In Her Boots, grew from the complex relationship that every author has with the successful self we portray on the outside and the doubting voices that will always hammer away inside of our heads. Her third novel, Playing the Witch Card, throws magic into the mix, but witchcraft, like reality TV and literary fraud, rarely really solves anyone’s problems.
KJ lives in New Hampshire with her husband, four children and assorted horses, chickens, dogs and cats. She is the co-host of the #AmWriting Podcast and is hard at work on a fourth novel.

Software Engineering Manager at Google Career Advisor google.com Class Year of Child: 2029 Occupation: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics BS in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford
MS in Computer Science, with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction from Stanford
I've spent over 25 years in the software industry, mostly working for a variety of smaller startups. After a brief stint doing user interface design for a small startup in Austin, Texas, I switched back to software engineering at an early startup working on "internet-enabled TVs". and then moved on to another software engineering role at one of the first companies doing video players for websites (before YouTube). At that company, I first started managing other engineers. From there, I moved on to video advertising startup, where I spent over 5 years managing teams, eventually becoming the Senior Vice President of Engineering, DevOps, IT, and Product Management. After that company was successfully acquired, I spent a year as the SVP of Engineering, IT, and DevOps at a small startup in the healthcare space before leaving that company for Google.
At Google, I've been a manager of managers for almost 7 years, running teams of between 20 and 30 people, focused on products that serve billions of users and truly embody "planet scale" computing. I started out working on Google Search, with my team responsible for ensuring Google Search remained reliable and available for users around the world 99.999% of the time. A little over 4 years ago, I switched from that to Android, where I now manage a distributed team (Cambridge, NYC, Mountain View, and Shanghai, China) that focuses on ensuring that Android releases are high quality and reliable for users, applying the same core principles in a completely different space, where our software is used to safely deploy software to over 3 billion Android devices. Identity-based organization: I am one of the leads for the Google Gender Diverse Kids Caregivers group that focuses on helping parents and other caregivers support the Trans, Non-binary, and otherwise Gender-Diverse kids in their lives. I am also active in our Trans@ Google ERG and our local Cambridge chapters of the Black Googlers Network and Women@ Google groups. My pronouns are he/him.

Birth and Postpartum Doula, CLC at As Love Grows Class Year: 2003 Occupation: Health Science I received my BA from ³Ô¹ÏÍø in 2003 with an interdisciplinary major in Anthropology-Sociology, as well as several courses in the Education department. I taught 6th grade for a year in CT before moving overseas and starting a Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Tel Aviv University. When I finally realized that being a classroom teacher wasn't for me, I used my writing skills and mother tongue English to write sales and marketing materials at high tech companies for a few years.
After returning to the US in 2011, I took a break from being in the work force and started a family. The life-changing, empowering, and at times challenging experiences I had in early motherhood, combined with conversations I had with other new parents about their journeys, led me to pursue my certification as a Birth and Postpartum Doula in 2015. I furthered my education and credentials in the field of supporting new parents and became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2020. Helping parents navigate their birth and early postpartum experiences with compassionate education and support has become my passion and full time career.
