  • Violet M. Oliver, a longtime member of the Housekeeping division, died Thursday, December 20, 2012. She was 87.
  • Madeleine Ortoleva, Skidmore alumna and longtime professor of French at the College, died July 4, 2013. She was 89.
  • Charles Osborn, a sergeant in campus safety, died February 25, 2006. He was 53.
  • Anthony Otrembiak, a ³Ô¹ÏÍø retiree, died February 1, 2005, at his home in Milton, N.Y.
  • Associate Professor of Psychology Emeritus Richard H. Page died peacefully on March 28, 2022. He was 89.
  • A prominent figure in the community and a personal friend to many, the former "First Lady" of ³Ô¹ÏÍø passed away on January 24. In a recent interview, she discussed her love of Skidmore and how she came to Saratoga Springs.
  • Months after retiring from ³Ô¹ÏÍø in June 1987, Palamountain died at age 66 on Nov. 23, 1987, in Saratoga Springs, the result of a heart condition.
  • Judy Parks, who served ³Ô¹ÏÍø for two decades until her retirement as payroll supervisor in 1997, died on April 28, 2024. She was 83.
  • Ann Page Perrino, a retiree from housekeeping, died June 7, 2004, in Greenfield Center, N.Y.
  • Betty (Boyer) Platt, who supported several academic departments at ³Ô¹ÏÍø for two decades, died Jan. 29, 2021. She was 98.
  • Yvonne Roy Porter, a member of the President's Office staff for more than two decades, died June 2, 2015, in Saratoga Springs. She was 93.
  • Larry Porter, a 30-year veteran of campus security, died March 22, 2017.
  • David Porter, classics professor and ³Ô¹ÏÍø president emeritus, died March 26, 2016, while out for a walk. He was 80.
  • Harry Prosch, a ³Ô¹ÏÍø professor of philosophy for 25 years, died Friday, March 11, at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga.
  • Jon Ramsey, ³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s former dean of studies, who left a lasting mark on the Honors Forum and many programs at ³Ô¹ÏÍø, died of cancer at his home in Goleta, California, on March 9, 2019. He was 77.
  • Edward Reagen, professor emeritus of economics, died peacefully at his home in Naples, Fla., on Sept. 24, 2002.
  • Lillian A. Reagen, a longtime member of the Lucy Scribner Library staff, died July 22, 2014, in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. She was 88.
  • John L. Reed, who served the College for 27 years as a professor of education, chair of the Education Department, and director of the College's Elementary Education Program, died June 28, 2014, at his home in Saratoga Springs. The cause was pancreatic cancer. He was 85.
  • Alice P. Reeves, instructor in English, died October 12, 1960.
  • Jane Reisman, former associate director of admissions at ³Ô¹ÏÍø, died in Glens Falls Hospital September 30, 2018.
